TORUP SKOG / WET WOODLAND
Torup woods, locally known as "Bokskogen", are located a short distance from Malmö. Skåne and the Øresund region is by Nordic and Swedish standards, densely populated and becoming yearly more urbanised. This woodland area had been partially acquired by Malmö municipality back in 1970, for recreational purposes, later it became a nature reserve and even an EU Natura 2000 zone.
I have been photographing here since 2020, through until the present. My aim is to show and document, for the future, the less accessible, wilder parts of this forest – the off-track areas away from the riding paths and footpaths.
A book of these photographs will be published later in the autumn of 2024. Each image has its own GPS coordinates and I have saved my tracks through the woodland.
